Seed Paper
What is Seed Paper?
Plantable paper is a biodegradable eco-paper that is made with post-consumer materials (no trees harmed for this paper!) and embedded with seeds. When the paper is planted in soil, the seeds grow, and the paper composts away. The seeds are at their prime for about 2 years, so try to plant them within that timeframe for best results.
Types of Seeds
All seed paper products have a blend of six types of wildflower seeds, so, regardless of the design printed on the paper, you will get one or more of these:
- Bird’s Eye – Annual
- Clarkia – Annual
- Black Eyed Susan – Perennial
- Catchfly – Annual
- Snapdragon – Annual
- Sweet Alyssum – Annual
How to Grow
- Plant the seed paper under a thin 1/8 inch of soil.
- Water thoroughly.
- Place in a sunny spot and keep moist during germination.
