Stay on top of what fruits and vegetables are in season each month and be inspired to try new foods and eat locally!

This calendar was created by Stevie Driscoll, a watercolor artist and hand letterer/calligrapher in Toronto, Ontario. Originally from rural West Virginia, Stevie grew up with a huge vegetable garden and her diet was inextricably tied to the seasons. However, after moving up north to the big city, she found herself out of touch with that cycle and dismayed by the apparent dearth of produce available in the colder months. This calendar project reflects her efforts to reconnect with the land and revel in the bounty that it provides. In fact, her new home is so bountiful that this calendar only contains some of what’s available! Inside you’ll find many classic seasonal favorites like asparagus and peaches, along with some more unusual treasures like pawpaw and kiwi berries.

Size: 11" x 17"
Pages: 14
Paper: Watercolor textured inkjet
Packaged: Plastic sleeve and cardboard

Each page is loose so that you can hang them all together using the provided bulldog clips (available in 3 colors) or choose to display multiple months at a time. When you are done with the month, you can trim off the dates at the bottom and display it as year-round art. The top section of each page fits perfectly in an 11" x 11" frame.

Note: While the season in which any particular fruit or vegetable ripens is predictable (e.g. watermelon in the summer and butternut in the fall), the day-to-day weather of a region affects the exact dates. Use this calendar as inspiration, but be sure to keep an eye out at your local markets for when your favorites make their first appearance!
